By CarThe A77 from Glasgow to Ayr has recently been improved and all of the northern section is now motorway, so travelling to Prestwick could not be more convenient. For those travelling up from the south, it is possible to reduce the journey time and mileage by cutting off the M74, taking the A70, to Ayr. However, the road is fairly narrow and winding, so allow at least an hour for that last leg of the journey. But the scenery is spectacular! |
