Although Ayrshire is a haven for the keen golfer, with world-renowned courses at Royal Troon, Prestwick and Turnberry, there is plenty to do for all the family and for all tastes. We cannot possibly give you information on everything that goes on in Ayrshire, so we will mention one or two of the most popular, but point you also to the main Ayrshire & Arran Tourist Board website. Touristnet have also got an excellent website with even more information on things to do in the area.

Golf

Local lads, Sam Torrance and Colin Montgomerie will testify that golf is a way of life in Ayrshire. We have some of the finest golf courses in the world, including the world famous ones at Royal Troon, Turnberry and, of course, the Prestwick Old Course. There are more than forty golf courses in Ayrshire, including some excellent public courses. An inexpensive golf pass is available for eight public courses in South Ayrshire, providing for six rounds in seven days. So you will have no shortage of choice to make a perfect golfing holiday.

Please note, too, that the accommodation we are offering on Links Road is virtually next door to Prestwick Old Course. There is plenty space on the ground floor for clubs, golf trolleys and outdoor gear.
